Final Fantasy XIV Patch 3.2 - Mentor System

Some big changes are comingd to Square Enix’s MMORPG, Final Fantasy XIV, this month. The game will see the release of Patch 3.2, aptly dubbed The Gears of Change.

The new patch will see the addition of a new Mentor System that allows high level characters to mentor characters at a lower level. Here’s how that works:

First, players will need to have earned certain achievements as prerequisites–one for the Disciples of War and Magic, and one for Disciples of the Hand and Land. After earning either achievement set, players can speak to a Smith to become a mentor.

Once they become mentors, they will gain access to the Novice Network, a chatroom where new adventurers can seek the support of veterans. Any player with less than 40 hours of play is tagged as a New Adventurer. Mentors will also gain access to Duty Roulette: Mentor, which assigns players to duties that are strugglking to fill party member slots. Once doing this a number of times, Mentors will earn special achievement rewards.

Additionally, players will be able to train themselves on different party roles in the Hall of the Novice. In the Hall of the Novice, players will be able to undertake a number of different training exercises related to the role of their current class or job. Upon completion, they will receive a reward.

Also being added is the new Alexander: Midas raid, a dungeon called the Antitower, and the Lost City of Amdapor (Hard).

The developer showcased the changes that are being added in the patch in a newly released video, which you can see below.

For starters, I'd like to state that this is coming from someone who majority of the time deals with premade 4v4 Feast ques and matches on Chaos (EU) DC.

FFXIV Gil prices and sales

Here's the real kicker though. FFXIV Gil prices and sales, you're rewarding the gil spammers. I don't know about others but most raids I know has 1-2 'dedicated' crafters who have ffxiv gil, the rest of my raid depends on food/potions from those people and can barely afford that in 3.0, let alone have enough to buy materia also.

FFXIV Script gear is not pointless

People who only really work on one or two crafts, and make a little ffxiv gil here and there when they find a unique niche they can grab on the market before it's found out and overrun.

Moogle is the only way to get FFXIV cards

Why doesn't the moogle have a card list like the other NPCs? Moogle is the only way to get FFXIV cards, but I have no idea what his rare cards are because there's no check list. Kinda lame.

If you define expensive as 1 ffxiv gil then your going to be right

Your relying too much on limited supply which over time will become not so limited as caps get raised like always do plus quantity of people who can obtain and sell ffxiv gil

I just switched to Warrior from Dark Knight for my current static

One thing though is I probably would go with 15000 if your healers/static is brand new to A1s until everyone gets their bearings, then go more Strength from there.
