I want to start by saying how much fun I am having on Astrologian (having played healers for much of 2.x its a refreshing change), but I do feel there is something in particular that I feel is annoying me quite a bit, and that is the inability to change between diurnal and nocturnal sect once combat begins.

 

My idea on a change would be this:

Convert Diurnal Sect ability into a trait (freeing up one extra space on controllers that are already struggling for effective hot bar space management)

Change Nocturnal Sect into a "Cleric Stance" like function, but with a 1-2 min cooldown, so you couldn't just jump in and out of it (which, while fun, would probably make Astrologian OP). It would still convert the Regen effects of Diurnal Sect into the galvanise-like effect.... BUT... Astrologian would no longer be stuck in the same stance for the entire duration of the fight , and would only have need of a single 'toggle' rather than two. (current state is very inflexible)

 

My reasoning for this change is due to a few annoying situations I have found myself in whereby I have had a second Astrologian in my party who puts up Diurnal Sect once the fight begins (even though I am also in Diurnal) and since the regen effect DON'T stack, a big part of my healing potency is wasted, and I'm helpless to do anything about it until the fight ends. If 2 SCH both summon eos or selene, they have the ability to immediately change to one of each.

 

Also, I really hope they can change aspected benefic/helios under diurnal sect so that the regens can stack if 2 Astrologian do happen to be in the same stance at the same time.

I try to take weapons and playstyle into account

Auron - Dark Knight: one handed sword, heavy attacks while also a good pool of HP. Hes also the first one to learn some "cover"-spell, which would make him a paladin... but... naaaah... he doesnt seem like one so I identify this as a tank-ability
